What is the PCC number required when shipping economy air to Korea?

This is the abbreviation for Personal Customs Code, which is required for import customs clearance in Korea.

Rakuten Global Express requires customers who ship packages to Korea via Economy Air (ECMS) to register for a PCC number.

If you have not yet obtained a PCC number, please apply for one in advance on the Korea Customs website.

2. Complete identity verification procedures
3. On the PCC application screen, enter your name, resident registration number, and mobile phone number.

After you request the shipment of your package, you will receive instructions on how to register your PCC number via the phone number or linked email address or KakaoTalk address listed in the shipping information.
Once you receive the notification, please follow the instructions to complete the registration process.

-PCC registration procedure information will be provided via the local agent (Lotte Global Logistics).
・Please note that if the PCC number registration is not completed, the export procedure from Japan may be halted.
- The information associated with the PCC number must match the recipient's information at the time of shipment.
・ Customers with non-Korean nationality may submit their passport number instead of the PCC number.
